Association Stav + is an NGO founded in June 2008 and provides assistance and support to persons who living with HIV/AIDS and members of their families.

Employees on the projects themselves are PLHIV people, or people directly affected by HIV and experts.

We are supported by the Global Fund and Implementation Unit for GF project, Ministry of Health and the Youth of JAZAS.

In the first project year we managed to provide the space needed for the work and the technical equipment.

Within the first year of implementation of the project we developed the following services and activities:

• Psychosocial support - self-help groups, counselling 1:1, reference to social care through the existing state institutions.
• Health assistance – Persons engaged in this service are collecting medical documentation for our beneficiaries and directing them to the relevant institution. Second component is  a home based care, were we are visit our beneficiaries who need the distribution of HAART and vitamin therapy, suited to health care facilities and visiting hospitalized beneficiaries .
  • Developing new skills and knowledge - We involve our clients in various seminars, trainings, workshops and we are attending various courses to enable the promotion of knowledge and skills.
  • SOS telephone support - for beneficiaries that would like to be anonymous
  • Re-socialization of PLHIV – socializing and sharing experiences in the premises of the Association, organizing weekend trips and other social activities.
  • Taking participation - in national and international campaigns related to the prevention of HIV / AIDS and reducing stigma and discrimination of PLHIV.
  • Stav + is member of PLHIV Union of Serbia (USOP) and the Vojvodina HIV network.
  • We have PLHIV representatives in the Executive Council of Vojvodina and we have signed the memorandum of cooperation with most government institutions and NGOs that work on improving the quality of life of PLHIV.
  • One of Stav+ strategic goal in the next period is to link with other Balkan, European and Global networks and organizations dealing with PLHIV rights and support in order to exchange know-how and to implement examples of good practices in our country.
